CMA CGM raises Asia–Mediterranean & North Africa FAK Rates

CMA CGM will increase Freight All Kind (FAK) rates on shipments from Asia to the Mediterranean and North Africa. The new rates will apply from April 1 to April 14, 2026.

The company says the increase supports reliable and efficient service across these trade lanes.

New FAK Rate Levels

For 20-foot containers, the rates are:

  • West Mediterranean: USD 4,300

  • Adriatic: USD 4,500

  • East Mediterranean: USD 4,600

  • Black Sea: USD 4,600

  • Algeria: USD 5,700.

For 40-foot and 40’ high cube containers, the rates are:

  • West Mediterranean: USD 5,700

  • Adriatic: USD 5,800

  • East Mediterranean: USD 6,000

  • Black Sea: USD 6,000

  • Algeria: USD 7,800.

Scope of Application

The new rates apply to:

  • Origin: All major Asian ports

  • Destination: Mediterranean regions and North Africa (including the areas listed above)

  • Cargo: Dry, reefer, out-of-gauge (OOG), and paying empty containers

CMA CGM will apply these rates based on the loading date at origin ports.
