Three Alaskan fishing companies ordered to pay over $1m in penalties for pollution offences

The US Federal District Court in Anchorage, Alaska, recently entered final judgement against three Kodiak, Alaska-based commercial fishing companies and their manager for multiple violations of the Clean Water Act.

The court entered default judgments against company manager Corey Potter and Knot EZ, Aleutian Tendering, and Alaska Tendering Company, and imposed a civil penalty of US$1,182,265 for the violations.
