The Swedish Coast Guard boarded and took control of a stateless ship in its territorial waters of the Baltic Sea on Friday.

The Coast Guard seized the vessel off the shores of the southern Swedish town of Trelleborg.

The vessel called Caffa was sailing under a Guinean flag, but the Swedish Coast Guard said that they regarded it as stateless based on national and international legislation, and the Swedish Police suspected it of sailing under a false flag.
