

A fishing boat capsized after a collision with a cargo ship off northeastern Japan early Tuesday, leaving four crew members dead. The accident happened about 20 km off Misawa City in Aomori Prefecture.
All 13 crew members on the fishing boat fell into the sea when it overturned. Rescue teams saved everyone, but four were found unconscious and later died in hospital.
The collision took place around 1:15 a.m. A 748-ton cargo ship hit the 140-ton fishing vessel, No. 65 Kofuku Maru. The cargo ship, Suehiro Maru, reported the incident soon after.
The impact caused the fishing boat to overturn and possibly sink. Nine crew members survived without injuries. Survivors said the boat had stopped its engine and was preparing to fish when it was struck.
No one on the cargo ship was injured.
The Japan Coast Guard is investigating the cause. Weather was clear, with good visibility and low waves, so officials are looking into possible
