Almi Marine Management has further strengthened its fleet portfolio, announcing an agreement with NACKS shipyard for the construction of two ultramax bulk carriers with a capacity of 64,000-dwt each.

Almi Marine Management has further strengthened its fleet portfolio, announcing an agreement with NACKS shipyard for the construction of two ultramax bulk carriers with a capacity of 64,000-dwt each.

The agreement was reached on Valentine’s Day, with the delivery time horizon of the ships placed in the second quarter of 2029.

According to a social media post by the company’s managing director, Christos Hadjigeorgiou, the ships under construction will be the first deliveries of the next generation of World-Class Design.

“This is a world-class design,” Mr Hadjigeorgiou explained, “featuring EEDI Phase IV compliance once it becomes mandatory, and equipped with the latest Everllence 10.7 electronic main engine.”

Additional specifications include 2x25T Coils capability, CO2 protection for cargo holds, and a multitude of other efficiency-enhancing features.

Almi Marine Management S.A. is a ship management company established in 1992 and has become a manager/operator of supramax/ultramax dry bulk ships.
