Downtown Las Vegas casino hosting Bitcoin takeover event
A downtown Las Vegas casino is embracing its long-standing relationship with digital currency by rolling out a three-day, property-wide Bitcoin takeover, according to a news release.
Circa hotel-casino will host the event April 27-29 to coincide with the Las Vegas Bitcoin conference. The downtown Las Vegas property plans to weave Bitcoin branding, themed programming and crypto-centric food and beverage specials throughout the resort, highlighting what executives describe as Circa’s “year-round crypto-friendly environment.”
Circa CEO Derek Stevens said the effort is meant to showcase how digital currency can be incorporated into a casino-resort experience.
“We’ve embraced Bitcoin since the beginning of Circa, including having our own Bitcoin ATM on property,” Stevens said in a statement. “This takeover is an extension of our commitment to the crypto community. We want guests to see firsthand how seamlessly Bitcoin can be part of the Las Vegas experience, from enjoying our bars and amenities to using Bitcoin for a truly unforgettable stay.”
The Circa event will also include a high-end “Vegas Bucket List Package,” which will be sold for one Bitcoin. The package includes a stay in Circa’s 1,830-square-foot Founder’s Suite, 20 premium king rooms, VIP seating at the resort’s sportsbook and access to a private Stadium Swim party hosted by Stevens.
Other elements include a buyout of Circa’s rooftop lounge, Legacy Club; a curated dinner at Barry’s Downtown Prime with chef Barry S. Dakake; and a private meal at Andiamo Steakhouse at the D Las Vegas, prepared by chef Neil Piche. The offer also includes limo transportation to and from the airport.
Circa accepts Bitcoin at all of its bars and operates a 24-hour on-site Bitcoin ATM. Its sister properties, The D and Golden Gate, also accept Bitcoin for non-gaming purchases.
Nevada does not allow the use of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies directly on casino floors, requiring any digital funds to be converted before wagering.
The Venetian hotel-casino is hosting Bitcoin 2026. Last year’s Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas featured an appearance by Vice President J.D. Vance. U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Paul Atkins and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Mike Selig are scheduled to address this year’s conference.
