GLBP and Loa Carbon join forces for e-LNG supply

Galveston LNG Bunker Port (GLBP) and Loa Carbon have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to produce and supply renewable e-methane for use as clean ship fuel.

As announced, Loa Carbon will produce the e-methane, which GLBP will liquefy and distribute as e-LNG to fuel ships seeking low-carbon alternatives. The GLBP facility, located on the Texas City Ship Channel near major ports like Houston and Galveston, is ideally positioned to serve the growing number of LNG-powered vessels in the region.

Set to launch in 2028, GLBP will be the first dedicated marine LNG bunkering terminal on the U.S. Gulf Coast.
