Yusen to acquire healthcare logistics business

Yusen Logistics Global Management, a subsidiary of the NYK Group, has announced that its European arm, Yusen Logistics, has agreed to acquire the healthcare logistics business of the Walden Group.

The acquisition will be executed through the purchase of 100% of the shares of Movianto International following the signing of a Put Option Agreement with Walden Group International Holding.

This agreement grants YLEU the right to acquire Movianto, a key player in the European healthcare logistics sector.

In accordance with European legal requirements, the transaction is subject to consultation with relevant works councils. Upon completion of this process, YLEU and Walden will proceed to finalize a Share Purchase Agreement.

The transaction will be completed following regulatory approvals, after which Movianto will become a wholly owned subsidiary of YLEU.

This acquisition represents a strategic step for Yusen Logistics in expanding its presence and service capabilities in the healthcare logistics sector across Europe.
