IAG Cargo appoints new Director of London Operations
IAG Cargo has named Josh Lane as its new Director of London Operations. The appointment highlights the critical role London Heathrow plays as the group’s global hub and headquarters.
Lane steps into the role after serving as Head of Warehouse at IAG Cargo. During his tenure, he led the successful launch and day-to-day operations of New Premia, the company’s modern handling facility at Heathrow. Opened in 2023, New Premia was designed to manage high-priority shipments with greater speed, reliability, and capacity. Also, it has since become a key part of IAG Cargo’s premium service offering.
Commenting on the appointment, Adam Carson, Chief Operating Officer at IAG Cargo said: ”Josh’s leadership and input has already had a major impact on our London operation.”
”London Heathrow is central to our global network, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to enhance how we operate and further raise the standard of service and performance,” commented Josh Lane.
Additionally, as Director, Lane will be responsible for all cargo operations at Heathrow. His focus will be on streamlining processes, introducing new technologies, and improving service quality. That includes leveraging AI for quicker, data-driven decisions across the supply chain.
Moreover, the appointment supports IAG Cargo’s strategy to raise operational standards and maintain a consistent level of service worldwide. With a network that reaches six continents, the company handles a wide variety of cargo, from perishables and pharmaceuticals to live animals and high-value goods.
