Emirates Shipping Line appoints Sushil Sriram as CEO
Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) has named Sushil Sriram as its new Chief Executive Officer.
He succeeds Till Ole Barrelet, who steps down after four years in the role. During his tenure, Barrelet strengthened the company’s strategic direction and expanded its global presence, laying the groundwork for continued growth.
Sriram brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience across strategy, operations and commercial management in Asia and Europe. He joined ESL in January 2024 as Chief Trade Officer and has since worked closely with the executive team to enhance the carrier’s market position.
He assumes the leadership role as ESL marks 20 years of operations. The company said it will continue to focus on growth and service quality under his leadership, aiming to remain a preferred carrier for customers and partners.
