Konecranes acquires service firms in Thailand and New Zealand

Konecranes has acquired two industrial service companies in the Asia-Pacific region to strengthen its service network. The company purchased Ex-Kcranes in Thailand and Trimate Industries Ltd. in New Zealand. The deals closed in Q1 2026, and the value was not disclosed.

Expanding Service Coverage in Southeast Asia

Ex-Kcranes is based in Rayong, Thailand. The company provides industrial crane services to customers in Thailand and Laos. The acquisition expands Konecranes’ service presence in the region.

Strengthening Market Position in New Zealand

Trimate Industries Ltd. supplies crane components and spare parts in New Zealand. The company also distributes products from Demag, which has a strong installed base in the country.

Supporting Growth in the APAC Region

The two companies generate combined annual sales of about €2.5 million and add around 20 employees to Konecranes.

Konecranes said the acquisitions support its strategy to expand industrial service capabilities and strengthen customer support across the Asia-Pacific market. The company continues to invest in digital technologies, efficient material handling, and solutions that support decarbonization and circularity.
