CMA CGM announces PSS for Oceania–Mediterranean and Asia–West Africa Trades
CMA CGM has introduced new Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) on several international trade routes to maintain reliable shipping services.
Oceania to East Mediterranean
A PSS will apply to shipments from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Timor-Leste to Egypt, Syria, and Türkiye.
Effective: April 3, 2026
Cargo: Dry and reefer containers
Rates:

USD 500 per dry container

USD 1,000 per reefer container
Asia to West Africa
CMA CGM will also apply a PSS for shipments from North East Asia and South East Asia to several West African markets.
Effective: March 15, 2026
Cargo: Dry and reefer containers
Applicable on: Short-term contracts
North East Asia origins to destinations including Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Angola, Cameroon, and other West African countries:

USD 150 per TEU
South East Asia origins to markets such as Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, and Gabon:

USD 500 per TEU
The surcharges will remain in effect until further notice.
