Fincantieri reports record profit and order book in 2025
Fincantieri has reported record financial results for 2025, with net profit reaching €117 million, more than four times higher than the previous year.
Revenue rose 13% to €9.2 billion, while EBITDA increased 34% to €681 million. The EBITDA margin improved to 7.4%, up from 6.3% in 2024.
The group also recorded strong commercial performance. Order intake reached a new high of €20.3 billion, driven by growth in shipbuilding. Total backlog climbed to €63.2 billion, providing visibility on deliveries through to 2037.
Fincantieri delivered 24 vessels in 2025 and now holds 97 ships in its order book.
The company continued to reduce debt. The leverage ratio improved to 2.7x, in line with its financial targets.
For 2026, Fincantieri expects revenue of around €9.2–9.3 billion and EBITDA of approximately €700 million, with further growth in net profit.
The group also confirmed its 2026–2030 business plan, which focuses on expanding capacity, improving efficiency and developing advanced technologies across shipbuilding, defence and underwater sectors.
In February 2026, Fincantieri completed a €500 million capital increase, strengthening its financial position and supporting future growth.
CEO Pierroberto Folgiero said the results reflect strong performance across all business segments despite a challenging global environment. He highlighted growing demand in cruise and defence markets, as well as opportunities in underwater technologies and maritime security.
