CMA CGM has announced new Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) covering shipments from the Far East and China to destinations in Mauritius and West Africa.
For cargo moving from the Far East to Port Louis, Mauritius, a PSS of USD 250 per TEU will apply to both dry and reefer cargo, effective from 15 April 2026.
Separately, CMA CGM has introduced a PSS for shipments from China to multiple West African destinations, effective from 27 March 2026 until further notice.
For cargo to Liberia, Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde and Sao Tome & Principe, the surcharge will be set at USD 225 per TEU and will apply to all cargo types under short-term contracts.
For shipments to Dakar in Senegal and Freetown in Sierra Leone, a higher PSS of USD 400 per TEU will apply, also covering all cargo types under short-term contracts.
CMA CGM said the updated surcharges are part of its ongoing efforts to maintain reliable and efficient service across its network in response to current market conditions.
