Chinese tonnage providers expand fleet with newbuildings
A Chinese ship owner, Juhe Wisdom Technology (Zhejiang), is renewing its fleet.
On 11 April, Juhe ordered six 4,350 TEU ships at mid-tier yard Taizhou Jianxing Heavy Industry.
The price was not disclosed, but currently, similar-sized newbuildings are priced around US$60 million each. A lesser known shipbuilder could possibly offer prices around 20% lower.
