Port of Huelva records increase in first four months of 2026
The Port of Huelva recorded total traffic of 9,714,082 tonnes between January and April 2026, a 0.51% increase compared to 9,664,432 tonnes handled in the same period of the previous year, according to provisional data published by the Port Authority.
Liquid bulk remains the dominant cargo category, accounting for 7,285,294 tonnes in the first four months of the year, broadly stable year-on-year with a marginal increase of 0.06 percent. Within this segment, performance varied across commodity types.
Crude oil recorded a slight decline of 0.46 percent to 2,601,568 tonnes, while natural gas fell more significantly by 8.19 percent to 1,024,454 tonnes.
Refined petroleum products grew modestly by 0.83 percent to 1,826,507 tonnes, and other liquid bulk posted stronger growth of 5.32 percent to 1,832,764 tonnes.
