Canopius promotes Pinnington to head of marine and energy treaty
SPECIALTY re/insurer Canopius has promoted Ben Pinnington to head of marine and energy treaty.
Pinnington was most recently marine and energy underwriter, after beginning his career as an underwriting assistant at AmTrust syndicate 1861.
His appointment follows the departure of head of marine treaty, Claire Wallace.
Canopius has also appointed Imogen Wright as underwriter for marine and energy treaty.
Wright joins from Guy Carpenter, where she was vice-president. Her appointment is effective October 13.
Aloïs Rouffiac, UK chief underwriting officer at Canopius, said: “[Ben] embodies the values of our marine treaty team — empowered, accountable and committed to delivering for our clients.”
