The Greek shipowner Vyron Vasileiadis-led Venergy Maritime expands its fleet of tankers portfolio by adding newbuilding orders at K Shipbuilding and New Times Shipbuilding.

The Piraeus-based player has firmed up six MR2 product tankers at K Shipbuilding in South Korea, with two additional MR2s under option.

In addition, the shipowner is expanding into larger product tanker segments with four LR2 newbuildings firm at New Times Shipbuilding in China, supported by options for a further two vessels.

Alongside the tanker platform, the Group has also committed to four firm newbuilding feeder container vessels through OceanV Maritime, further broadening its presence across complementary shipping segments.

“Our strategy reflects a measured, long-term approach to fleet expansion, centred on asset quality, operational efficiency, and strong partnerships,” said Vyron Vasileiadis, chairman of V Group.
