Bishop Fleming appoints directors to strengthen specialist leadership
Bishop Fleming, a UK-based audit, tax, accountancy and advisory practice, has appointed two senior directors as it looks to expand its risk and private client tax work across its UK network.
The accountancy practice has hired Razia Gent as director of Internal Audit and Risk Advisory, based in its Birmingham office.
The company has appointed Peter Budden as Private Client director in its Bristol headquarters at Temple Back.
Razia Gent joined Bishop Fleming from BDO in Birmingham, while Peter Budden joins from RSM in Bristol.
Budden said: “Bishop Fleming’s focus on growth and commitment to delivering the very best advisory services for clients was a major factor in my decision to join the business.
“I am excited to help our clients navigate the complex tax environment with clarity and confidence.”
Gent added: “I am thrilled to have this unique opportunity to join an organisation that is on such a clear growth journey.
“I am looking forward to building a team that acts as a trusted advisor, particularly as clients seek more pragmatic, value-added consultancy as they navigate increasingly complex risk landscapes.”
Bishop Fleming said the appointments demonstrate its capacity to bring in senior professionals from major competitors to strengthen specialist advisory lines.
The company said its model blends the technical depth associated with a national practice with detailed knowledge of local markets and client requirements.
Bishop Fleming managing partner and CEO Andrew Sandiford said: “As the market sees a shift in how large firms manage client relationships, we are perfectly positioned as the go-to firm for complex advisory work delivered with a trusted and personal senior touch.”
