ABL acquires Transhipment Services Australia

Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL) has completed its acquisition of Transhipment Services Australia (TSA), becoming the company’s sole shareholder.

With the deal finalized, TSA now joins ABL’s growing global logistics and infrastructure network.

TSA brings a strong footprint in the transhipment sector. The company moves over six million tonnes of cargo each year using six barges and a floating crane. Operations are based in the Skardon River area, off the northwest coast of Queensland’s Cape York Peninsula.

The acquisition gives ABL access to TSA’s full-service capabilities, from greenfield project development to active transhipment operations.

TSA has built a reputation for handling complex, remote projects. Its team specializes in marine and port design, mining logistics, tug-and-barge operations, and offshore oil and gas transport.

”Bringing TSA into the ABL global group of companies provides many opportunities to expand our customer base, enhance our suite of solutions and deliver world-class logistics services. This expansion continues on from the successful joint acquisition of One Rail Australia (ORA) in 2023,” commented Ika Bethari, President Director, ABL.

Leading TSA into its next phase is Bill Bisset, the company’s new CEO. Bisset has led major logistics operations across Australia, Europe, and North America. He’s known for managing large-scale transformations and building strong, high-performing teams.
