Rhenus completes full acquisition of LBH Group to expand maritime network

Rhenus Group has completed the acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in LBH Global Agencies, taking full ownership of the port agency business.

The move follows the initial partnership established in 2023. Rhenus has now acquired the remaining shares from the Lagendijk family, making LBH a wholly owned subsidiary.

LBH Group operates in 24 countries and provides port agency services for bulk, liquid, container and general cargo vessels.

The acquisition strengthens Rhenus’ global maritime and port logistics network. It also supports the company’s strategy to expand its presence in international trade and supply chain services.

The two companies have worked closely for several years. The partnership combined LBH’s port agency expertise with Rhenus’ global logistics network, enabling more integrated and flexible solutions for customers.

Under the new structure, LBH will continue to operate under its existing brand. The company will maintain its market presence and service standards.

Rhenus said the integration will help deliver more efficient and resilient supply chain solutions while supporting long-term growth in global maritime logistics.
